Alexander “Zan” Schindler first joined the Law Offices of A. Lavar Taylor, LLP in 2017 as a law clerk and as an attorney in 2018. He graduated with his Juris Doctor from Chapman University’s Fowler School of Law with an emphasis in Taxation. He is admitted to practice law in California as a member of the California State Bar.
Zan’s practice focuses on representing both individuals and businesses in court and before the various taxing agencies, such as the as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Franchise Tax Board (FTB), the Employment Development Department (EDD), and the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA).
Prior to joining the Law Offices of A. Lavar Taylor, Zan served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Robert P. Applegate of the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles. During law school, he was President of the Tax Law Society and was twice awarded with the Tax Law Honors Scholarship. He also handled tax controversy cases for low income tax payers on a pro bono basis, before the IRS, through the Fowler School of Law’s low-income taxpayer clinic.
Zan currently serves as the co-chair of the California Lawyers Association Young Tax Lawyers Orange County Chapter.
