Partner A. Lavar Taylor speaking at the 40th Annual Central California Bankruptcy Institute

September 15, 2026

Taylor Nelson Amitrano LLP is delighted to share that partner A. Lavar Taylor will speak at the 40th Annual Central California Bankruptcy Institute on September 19, 2026, at San Joaquin College of Law in Clovis, California. Hosted by the Central California Bankruptcy Association, CCBI is a two-day conference for attorneys, accountants, trustees, and lenders who work with individuals and businesses in financial distress, and this year’s program is titled “Red, White & Reorganized, America’s 250th.”

Lavar’s two-part session, “Tax Issues Affecting Individual Debtors” in Bankruptcy (Part 1 and Part 2), covers how federal and state tax liabilities are treated when an individual files for bankruptcy, an issue that often determines the outcome of the case. Lavar has extensive experience representing taxpayers before the IRS and California’s taxing agencies, both administratively and in litigation.

Registration and full program details for CCBI 2026 are available here.
